Awareness Oriented Structural Integration for the Sedona AreaWhat is Structual Integration?
BYRIVER Reflexology Sandals Structural Integration is a bodywork technique based on the work of Ida P. Rolf (1896-1979), who developed a ten-session method called Structural Integration. The purpose of this work is to re-align and re-balance the physical body within its gravitational field. Life’s demands, years of poor posture, repetitious movement, physical, mental, and emotional stress, can compromise muscular connective tissue and therefore compromise the physical and energy bodies form and well -being. A web of connective tissue called fascia surrounds every muscle and all muscle fibers down to a cellular level in the body. Chronically contracted muscles are restored to their natural state by lengthening the facial sheath. This awareness-based therapy educates clients on their correct postural alignment allowing gravity to hold them up instead of pulling them down.
BEGINING your first Structural Integration SESSION
The session begins with a postural reading and assessment. Digital photos are recommended and can be taken in order for each client to track their progress if they are working the ten sessions. The photos stay with the client and optional. Although the 10-session method is recommended with amazing transformation, single sessions are also highly beneficial. The client’s lifestyle and physical demands are discussed in order to identify areas of congestion and unnatural holding. The client will be educated on methods to assist and support the ongoing tissue re-training. Structural Integration work is very slow and deep always working with the clients breathe and present with communication and sensations. The clients are guided to an internal map of themselves. This increase of self-awareness enhances the healing process.
